La Propiedad Inmaterial
(The Intangible Property) journal channels the expressions of scientists and
researchers and spreads knowledge about intellectual property and new
technologies. It is published by the Universidad Externado de Colombia in
Bogotá.
This
journal is aimed at the academic community - at students, researchers and
professionals interested in the new technologies, the digital era,
biotechnology and the issues of intellectual property in the Colombian and
international contexts. The journal has four sections: articles,
jurisprudence, abstracts and the authors list. The submitted articles are
sent to external referees, who determine if the submitted work complies with
the requirements of pertinence, depth and relevance necessary for
publication.
The
Universidad Externado de Colombia is one of the most important, prestigious
and renowned institutional publishers in Colombia. It has more than 1,900
published titles and has an average of 136 new publications per year. It
also co-edits with prestigious national and international institutions of
higher education centers and other publishers.
The
Externado was founded in 1886 and it remains one of the most prestigious and
academically rigorous universities in Colombia. It is the Alma Mater of many
eminent lawyers, professors, magistrates, financers, high state officials
and Colombian leaders. It has the accreditation of high quality from the
National Educational Ministry. The institution has 4 consolidated research
centers with 43 research groups. It has also made more than 187
international agreements with renowned universities around the world, such
as: Université Panthéon-Assas Paris 2, France; Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne,
France; Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, France; Universidad Nacional
Autónoma de México, Mexico; Columbia University of New York, US; University
of Wisconsin-Madison, US; Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain;
Universita Degli Studi Di Roma La Sapienza, Italy; Ruhr-Universität Bochum,
Germany; University of Wollongong, Australia and University of Manitoba,
Canada among others.

publishes
annually since 2000. All its articles are available in LatAm-Studies
full-text online.
