The Revista Derecho del Estado (Law of The State Journal) is focused
on promoting critical and theoretical analysis of public law. It is a
scientific and academic publication of the Universidad Externado de Colombia
in Bogotá.
The journal publishes works by specialists from Colombia, as well as other
countries. It also presents reports of the academic activities of the
Constitutional Law Department of the Externado University. Revista
Derecho del Estado has five sections: presentations, articles,
jurisprudence, reviews and an index. The submitted contributions are
evaluated in a rigorous peer review process, performed by anonymous referees
of the highest academic order. This publication is aimed at the postgraduate
students, researchers and professionals interested in Constitutional Law
issues, Public International Law, Administrative Law, Political Science and
Colombian and international issues, in general.
The Universidad Externado de Colombia is one of the most important,
prestigious and renowned institutional publishers in Colombia. It has more
than 1,900 published titles and has an average of 136 new publications per
year. It also co-edits with prestigious national and international
institutions of higher education centers and other publishers.
The Externado was founded in 1886 and it remains one of the most prestigious
and academically rigorous universities in Colombia. It is the Alma Mater of
many eminent lawyers, professors, magistrates, financers, high state
officials and Colombian leaders. It has the accreditation of high quality
from the National Educational Ministry. The institution has 4 consolidated
research centers with 43 research groups. It has also made more than 187
international agreements with renowned universities around the world, such
as: Université Panthéon-Assas Paris 2, France; Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne,
France; Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, France; Universidad Nacional
Autónoma de México, Mexico; Columbia University of New York, US; University

Universita Degli Studi Di Roma La Sapienza, Italy; Ruhr-Universität Bochum,
Germany; University of Wollongong, Australia and University of Manitoba,
Canada among others.
