Trabajos y Comunicaciones (Works and Communications) (ISSN 0325-173X) is a scientific dissemination journal that receives and publishes original research work which constitutes a contribution to the advancement of knowledge of history or other disciplines related to it. It is published by the Department of History, of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences (FaHCE), in the National University of La Plata, Argentina (UNLP).

This journal maintains pluralistic and inclusive criteria in terms of historiographical approaches. It promotes communication and exchanges with institutions of higher education, academic and scientific networks and research organizations. It contains three sections that present professional papers written by national and foreign institutions.  Each of its texts is reviewed according to the double-blind method, performed by two reviewers (one internal and one external). In case of dissent, the text is referred to a third reviewer.

Trabajos y Comunicaciones is produced by the Department of History of the FaHCE, which is one of the oldest – established in 1920 – and most prestigious institutions, recognized mainly for training teachers, researchers and intellectuals who have excelled nationally and internationally. Through its Department of Research, the FaHCE conducts workshops, seminars and conferences, where the results of different research lines are disseminated. It also makes exchanges and joint projects with other national and international academic institutions, with which it has cooperation agreements.

Since its founding in 1905, the UNLP has been at the forefront of research and scientific, cultural and artistic developments. It is one of the largest and most important universities in Argentina. It has 100,000 students and 10.900 teachers in 17 Faculties. The university also has 141 Research and Development centers with about 3,500 researchers.
