Orientación y Sociedad. Revista
Internacional e Interdisciplinaria de Orientación Vocacional Ocupacional
(Guidance and society. International and
interdisciplinary journal of Vocational Guidance) disseminates national and
international
interdisciplinary production about different experiences related to career choices and employment at
the individual, institutional and community level through an approach of
prevention and assistance. It is published in the Faculty of Psychology at
the National University of La Plata (UNLP), Argentina.
Orientación y
Sociedad publishes, articles research reports,
abstracts, book reviews and scientific events that contribute to the
updating and systematic training in the field of Vocational Guidance. The
journal publishes original papers previously submitted to an evaluation
of the Editorial Committee. Each of its texts is reviewed according to
the double-blind method, performed by two reviewers (one internal and
one external). In case of dissent, the text is referred to a third
reviewer. The texts are written in Spanish and
include an English translation and a summary in Portuguese.
Since its
foundation in 1905, the UNLP has been at the forefront of research and
scientific, cultural and artistic developments. It is one of the largest and
most renowned universities in Argentina, hosting 100,000 students and 10,900
teachers in 17 faculties. UNLP integrates 141 research and development
centers where 3,500 researchers work on their projects. It also has a Museum
of natural sciences and a network of 12 thematic museums, an astronomical
observatory, a public library and a network of 21 libraries.

Sociedad has published
annually since 1999.
