Latinoamericana de Metodología de las Ciencias Sociales (ReLMeCS) (Latin-American
Journal of Methodology of Social Sciences)
is an electronic refereed
publication that fosters
discussions on the methods and techniques used in the Social Sciences.
It is published by the
Latin-American Network of Social Sciences (RedMet,
by its acronym in Spanish),
Interdisciplinary Center of
Methodology of Social Sciences of the
Research Institute of
Humanities and Social Sciences of
the Faculty
of Humanities and Education
Sciences (FaHCE) in
the National University of La
Plata (UNLP),
Argentina.The Journal
disseminates critical contributions, papers and bibliographical reviews in
the areas of:

Epistemology
of Social Sciences.

Methods and
Techniques of Social Research (theoretical-conceptual developments and
applications).

History of Methods
and Techniques of Social Research.
-
Teaching of
Methodology of Social Sciences.
ReLMeCS
includes papers and bibliographical reviews in Spanish, Portuguese and
English. Every paper is submitted to double blind referring process,
performed by internal and external pairs. Its Editorial Board and Evaluation
Committee are drawn from recognized universities in Argentina, Brazil,
Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The FaHCE,
which is the bind between RedMet and the UNLP, was formally established in
1920. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in
Argentina. It is recognized mainly for the development of scholars,
researchers and intellectuals who have excelled at national and
international levels. Results of the different lines of research are made
available to the public through workshops, seminars and conferences carried
out by the faculty’s Secretariat of Research. FaHCE also offers exchange
programs working together with other national and international academic
institutions with which it has cooperation agreements.
Since its
foundation in 1905, the UNLP has been at the forefront of research and
scientific, cultural and artistic developments. It is one of the largest and
most renowned universities in Argentina, hosting 100,000 students and 10,900
teachers in 17 faculties. UNLP integrates 141 research and development
centers where 3,500 researchers work on their projects. It also has a Museum
of natural sciences and a network of 12 thematic museums, an astronomical
observatory, a public library and a network of 21 libraries.
ReLMeCS
has published biannually
since 2011. All its articles are available in
LatAm-Studies Full-Text Online.
