Perífrasis.
Revista de Literatura, Teoría y Crítica (Journal of Literature, Theory
and Criticism) contains contemporary literary studies and trans-disciplinary
variants. It presents articles and unpublished research, in Spanish and
English, of domestic and foreign authors and researchers. It is published by
the Department of Humanities and Literature at the Universidad de los Andes
in Bogotá, Colombia. Perífrasis is
aimed at teachers and researchers as well as undergraduate and graduate
students. Since 2012, the journal has published biannually in hard copy and
online.
The quality and
relevance of the content of this journal are sustained by several scientific
and editorial committees, as well as a set of reviewers composed of national
and foreign researchers. Some of the universities which they belong to are:
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana,
Purdue University, Rice University, Stanford University, Universidad de
Antioquia, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad de Cartagena,

The
University of the Andes was founded in 1948. Today, it is a leading
educational institution in Latin America, recognized for its excellence,
flexibility, commitment and autonomy. It focuses on closing the knowledge
gap of Colombia with the scientific advances in the world. In 2012 it
recorded 24 accredited programs and about 4,000 researchers.
