Paideia Latina:
It is a research journal of the Inter-University Center for Latin American
Studies and Caribbean, located at the Universidad Politecnica de Nicaragua;
CIELAC-UPOLI. Coverage is of Latin America and the Caribbean, as is its
readership.
Paideia is a Greek word, which originally represented the integrative
formative educational process in which a person becomes able to master their
civic duties. With later translation into Latin the term came to designate
the humanities for studies related to culture, philosophy and pedagogy, as
well as the interaction of the individual with the community.
