Nóesis, Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities,
deals with problems related to the Legal Sciences, and Administrative
Sciences in addition to the Social Sciences and Humanities. It is
edited at the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Administración (ICSA) of the
Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), Mexico.
The journal accepts
unpublished submissions in English or Spanish. They are evaluated under a
double-blind refereeing process, performed by internal and external pairs.
The internal evaluators are full-time professors at the UACJ, working under
the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) of the Consejo Nacional de
Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT). This is the government agency in charge of
science and technology policies, as well as the major supporter of
postgraduate students in Mexico. The external evaluators are
professors of universities and institutions that collaborate with the UACJ.
Among them are: Escola Superior Gestao de Santerém e Tecnologia, Portugal;
Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; Centro de Estudios Genealógicos para la
Investigación de la Cultura en México y América Latina A. C.; Universidad
Pedagógica Nacional; Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; Universidad
Europea de Madrid; Universidad Externado de Colombia; Universidad de Chile;
Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela; Boston College and The University of
Texas at El Paso.
The content of
Nóesis is organized as follows:

"Monographic
section": articles addressing the issue’s themes.

"Diverse section":
themes related to the monographic section or to different issues related
to the Social Sciences and the Humanities.

"Books, Interviews
and Narratives": short texts, reviews, project reports and the likes.
The Instituto de
Ciencias Sociales y Administración is recognized as the higher education
institution that develops research, human resources, and collaborates with
the educational process in the fields of Social Sciences, Administrative
Sciences, Legal Sciences and the Humanities within Chihuahua, Mexico. It
also has credited programs of teaching, research and extension.
Since its foundation in
1973, the UACJ has been in the forefront of studies and scientific, cultural
and artistic developments. It is a leading institution for academic talent
formation in the northern area of Mexico. It has 24,000 students and 1,600
professors in Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees. The University has 14
institutes, centers, divisions and research areas where approximately 346
scholars perform their activities.
Nóesis
has published twice a year since 1998. Every issue to date is available in
