Historia Crítica
(Critical
History) is a journal of a periodic nature that takes into account
international criteria of quality, positioning, periodicity and online
availability. Its aim is to publish unpublished articles in the field of
History, which contribute to the study of Social and Human Sciences, for a
better understanding of the social, political, economic, geographical and
cultural environments of the past and present. In this sense, it seeks to
strengthen research to build dialogues between the national and
international academic community.
The
Journal is a quarterly publication (January-March, April-June,
July-September and October-December), which circulates at the beginning of
each period indicated, created in 1989 and financed by the Faculty of Social
Sciences of the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). The Journal publishes
articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
The sections
of the Magazine are the following:
Letter to the readers or Presentation of the Dossier informs about the
content of the number and the relevance of the topics dealt with.
Dossier gathers articles that revolve around a specific theme, previously
convened by the Editorial Team.
Open topic includes articles on varied historiographical interests,
different from those that the dossier gathers.
The Magazine changes the presentation structure of its sections in the
numbers that are exclusive to Open Topic, where the Dossier section does not
appear. Critical History in some editions includes the Translation section
that contains articles published in languages other than Spanish, English
and Portuguese.
Starting on January 2009 Historia Crítica, originally a bi-annual
publication, publishes three issues per year and it is available in LatAm-Studies
Full-Text.
