The Journal
Cuadernos de Economía publishes intellectual advances in theory,
methodology and economic applications from Colombia and Latin-America. It is
published under the auspices of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the
National University of Colombia (UNal) in Bogota, Colombia.
The UNal contributes
significantly to the development of its country by providing scientific,
technological, cultural and artistic advice with academic and research
autonomy. The Faculty of Economic Sciences (FCE) is focused on the formation
of high-level business managers, accountants and economists to contribute to
national economic and social development.
The Cuadernos de
Economía journal presents previously unpublished scholarly
contributions: research papers, reports and case studies, essays, reviews
and abstracts of books. Its texts are written in Spanish, English, French
and Portuguese; they show the advancement in economic, political, social,
administrative and demographic knowledge; promote theoretical debate and
propose new topics to deepen.
The journal articles
are created by professors and researchers, and are refereed anonymously by
evaluators from the Unal, national evaluators (from Universidad de los
Andes) and external international evaluators (from University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign and Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro).
Cuadernos de
Economía is a biannual journal available in
full text in LatAm-Studies.
