Colombia
Internacional is a publication of periodic nature that takes into
account international criteria of quality, positioning, periodicity and
online availability. Its objective is to disseminate unpublished content
that promotes national and international debate in the fields of Political
Science and International Relations, through the analysis of current and
historical political phenomena, from disciplinary and interdisciplinary
points of view, and relevant and innovative methodological approaches. In
this way, it seeks to expand and disseminate knowledge that allows to
understand, in rigorous and scientific terms, the findings, debates and
recent reflections of the national and international academic community. It
is a quarterly publication (January-March, April-June, July-September,
October-December) published at the beginning of each period, created in 1986
and financed by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Universidad de los
Andes (Colombia).
Colombia
Internacional publishes original articles in Spanish, English and
Portuguese. In exceptional cases, translations of articles that have already
been published in languages other than those advertised by the Journal are
included, when their pertinence is recognized within the discussions and
issues addressed. All published articles have a DOI identification number,
which facilitates the production of bibliographic references, the search for
articles on the web and the cross-citation of different repositories. It
must be cited by the authors who use the contents, as well as the
abbreviated title of the Magazine: Colomb. int.
The Journal
has an Editorial Team and an Editorial Board. The Editorial Team is in
charge of the operative processes of the Magazine, of decisions about
contents to be published, of proposing thematic for monographic numbers, of
the fulfillment of quality standards, of the processes of indexation and
diffusion of contents. The Editorial Team is in charge of selecting and
inviting the academicians that make up the Editorial Board, and of
periodically reviewing the replacement of some of its members, taking into
account the length of stay, the areas of knowledge to be strengthened, the
inclusion of new institutions , and his participation advising the Journal.
The
Editorial Board, proposes guidelines to define the editorial policies of the
Journal, establishes dossier issues, ensures compliance with national and
international quality standards, discusses the sections that host the
contents of the Journal, and proposes ways of circulation, diffusion and
indexing.
