The
journal Cartografías conceives literary texts in terms of maps which
show imaginary territories. It considers, also literary criticism, as a tour
of an intangible place where the texts meet. This journal belongs to a
private publishing company named Cartografías too. It is based in Cordoba,
Argentina.
Cartografías:
maps of an imaginary territory, was created and is maintained as a
project to establish itself as a place of encounters and frictions between
criticism and literature.
It
studies systematically, ongoing works of authors from Rio Cuarto (Cordoba,
Argentina), disseminates almost inedited writings and reviews of recent
texts.
Since its inception in 2004 has evolved to adapt to current needs. This has
strengthened Cartografías as a journal of literary criticism. The sections
of the magazine are variable and are defined by the characteristics of the
author's work published in each issue. Works about films are sometimes
published.
Lat-Am Studies Full Text holds the issues published to date.
